Removal Procedure
Caution: Replace affected belts, retractors, and hardware if any of the following conditions exist:
^ During all but a minor collision.
^ The seat belt did not pass seat belt visual inspection.
^ Torn webbing.
^ Highly stressed webbing.
^ Worn buckles and tongues.
^ Bent anchor bracket.
^ Some seat belts have an energy management loop, which is an overlap of the belt webbing that is stitched together. If any of stitching is separated the belt should be replaced. Presence of a caution label instructing to replace the belt.
1. Remove the rear seat cushion bottom.
2. Remove the anchor bolts retaining seat belt buckles.
3. Remove the seat belt buckle or buckles.
