Engine Cranks/Cranks Slowly, But Does Not Start

Perform the following checks:
^ Battery - Load test the battery. Refer to Battery Not Operating Properly. Battery Not Operating Properly
^ Wiring - Inspect the wiring for damage. Inspect all connections to the starter motor, solenoid, battery, and all ground connections. Clean and tighten the connections as required.
^ Engine - Make sure the engine is not seized.

If the battery, the wiring and the engine are functioning properly and the engine continues to crank slowly, repair or replace the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement or Starter Motor Replacement (L47). Service and Repair
