Compact Disc Player (CD): Service and Repair

REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the right side rear compartment trim. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Trunk/Liftgate.
3. Remove the fasteners from the CD player mounting bracket to the rear compartment.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear compartment CD player.




5. Remove the mounting bracket to CD player fasteners.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the CD player into the mounting bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the mounting bracket to CD player fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




3. Install the CD player and bracket into the rear compartment.
4. Connect the electrical connectors.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the fasteners to secure the bracket and CD player to the rear compartment.

Tighten
Tighten the rear compartment CD player fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Trunk/Liftgate.
7. Close the rear compartment.
