J41718 Sunroof Timing Pins




1. Remove the sunroof glass panel.

IMPORTANT: After removing the sunroof glass panel inspect the position of the timing hole in the cable/cam mechanism to the front screw hole used for mounting the sunroof glass panel. The position of the timing holes must be aligned to each other.

2. Align the timing hole in the cable/cam mechanism to the front screw hole used for mounting the sunroof glass panel. Use a small flat-bladed tool to push the cable/cam mechanism forward or rearward.
3. Remove the sunroof actuator.

IMPORTANT: The sunroof timing pins must not be removed until the sunroof actuator is installed.




4. Install the J 41718 to the front screw hole used for mounting the sunroof glass panel on each side of the sunroof.
5. Install the sunroof actuator.
6. Remove the J41718 from the cable/cam mechanisms.
7. Install the sunroof glass panel.
8. Install the power sunroof module.
9. Inspect the sunroof for proper sunroof glass panel adjustment and operation.
10. Install the headliner.
