Air Compressor ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the air compressor filter from the underbody rail.
3. Disconnect the air tube from the air dryer.
4. Disconnect the air compressor electrical connector.
5. Remove the compressor bracket bolts.
6. Remove the compressor bracket nuts.
7. Remove the air compressor and bracket from the vehicle.
8. Remove the air dryer.
9. Remove the air compressor bolts (1).
10. Remove the air compressor from the air compressor bracket.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the air compressor to the air compressor bracket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the air compressor bolts (1).
^ Tighten the air compressor bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
3. Install the air dryer.
4. Install the air compressor and bracket to the underbody rail.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the air compressor bracket nuts.
^ Tighten the air compressor bracket nuts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
6. Install the air compressor bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the air compressor bracket bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
7. Connect the air compressor electrical connector.
8. Connect the air tube to the air dryer.
9. Install the air compressor filter to the underbody rail.
10. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
