(Replace Power Window Motor)

Condition

Some customers may comment that the power window does not work.

Correction

The window motor is now available without the window regulator.

Replace the power window motor following the service procedure below:

1. Remove the door trim following the procedure in SI Document ID # 628645 (Front Door - Pontiac), # 897512 (Front Door - Buick), # 628652 (Rear Door - Pontiac) or # 808123 (Rear Door - Buick).

2. Partially remove the top of the water deflector. Do not remove the bottom of the water deflector.

3. Remove the three # 30 TORX(R) screws from the regulator to remove the motor.

4. Install the new motor to the regulator.

Tighten

Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Reinstall the water deflector and door trim panel.
