Audio System - XM(R) Terrestrial Repeater Changes

INFORMATION

Bulletin No.: 08-08-46-006

Date: September 25, 2008

Subject:
Changes to XM Network of Terrestrial Repeaters

Models:
2009 and Prior GM Passenger Cars and Trucks (Including Saturn and Saab)
2009 and Prior HUMMER H2, H3

As a result of a decision of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), XM must make certain changes to its network of terrestrial repeaters, including turning off some of its repeaters and modifying others.

It is unlikely that any of these changes will significantly impact XM radio reception in vehicles equipped with XM radios, but some customers may encounter brief periods of service interruption if they drive through areas served by these repeaters. Any such interruptions do not indicate a problem with the GM factory-installed equipment but are due to the repeater changes required by the FCC.

General Motors Dealers who have questions or want to express their comments to XM may contact the XM Dealer Support Line.

A list of the affected XM repeaters is available in FCC 08-177, Attachment C, which can be found on the FCC's website, www.fcc.gov.
