Steering Column Bracket
BRACKET REPLACEMENT - STEERING COLUMNREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left closeout panel.
2. Remove the knee bolster.
3. Remove the fasteners from the knee bolster bracket at the instrument panel.
4. Remove the fasteners from the knee bolster bracket at the steering column support.
5. Remove the steering column bracket fasteners.
6. Remove the steering column bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the steering column bracket.
2. Install the steering column bracket fasteners.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Install the knee bolster bracket to the instrument panel.
4. Install the fasteners to the knee bolster bracket at the steering column support.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
5. Install the fasteners to the knee bolster bracket at the instrument panel.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
6. Install the knee bolster.
7. Install the left closeout panel.
