HVAC Control Module Lens Scratched (Replace Lens)

2000-2004 Buick Park Avenue
Condition
Some customers may comment on scratches on the lens of the HVAC control module.
Correction
Use the following procedure to replace the HVAC control module lens:
1. Remove the right I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement-Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory Right in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
2. Remove the fasteners that secure the HVAC control module.
3. Pull the HVAC control module rearward.
4. Disconnect the HVAC control module electrical connector.
5. Depress and hold the locking tabs, located on the 4 corners of the HVAC control assembly. Pull the HVAC control away from the instrument panel.
6. Depress the side clips to remove the lens from the control head assembly.
7. Install the new lens.
8. Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
9. Install the HVAC control module.
10. Install the right I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement-Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory Right in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
