Difficult to Read Driver Information Center (DIC), Radio and HVAC Control Head (Reprogram BCM)

Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to add the 2005-2007 models years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-42-001A (Section 08 - Body).
Condition
Some customers may comment that it is difficult to read the driver information center (DIC), radio and HVAC control head during sunrise and sunset hours.
Cause
The BCM is commanding the automatic headlights on, which in turn dims the DIC, radio and HVAC control head lighting.
Correction
New BCM values governing the operation of this feature have been released. These new values will turn the headlights off sooner during sunrise and will turn the headlights on later at sunset. Reprogram the BCM with updated calibration files using the TIS2WEB Service Programming System (SPS) application. As always, make sure your Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software version.
