Subject:
Driver Information Center (DIC) Fuel Economy Reading is Erratic (Update Powertrain Control Module [PCM] Software)

Models:
2005 Buick Allure (Canada Only), LaCrosse with Driver Information Center (RPO U68) and 3.8L V6 Engine (VIN 2 - RPO L26)

Condition

Some customers may comment on an erratic fuel economy reading on the driver information center.

Correction

A new calibration has been released to correct this condition. Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with software/calibrations contained in GMNAO TIS version 6.0 or later, which was released on June 6, 2005. The software correction for the erratic fuel economy reading is a part of a new calibration for an engine stall concern.
