Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Outlet Pipe Replacement

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) OUTLET PIPE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the bolt (3) that attaches the EGR outlet pipe flange to the intake manifold.
2. Remove the nut (2) that attaches the EGR outlet pipe to the EGR valve inlet pipe assembly.
3. Remove the EGR valve outlet pipe (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EGR valve outlet pipe (1).
2. Install the bolt (3) to the intake manifold.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).

3. Install the nut (2) to the EGR valve inlet pipe assembly.

Tighten the nut to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).
