Inventory Upgrade - PCM Nonconformity-Replace PCM # 04109 - (Dec 15, 2004)

Models:
Certain 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer; GMC Envoy; Buick Rainier with Inline 6 Cylinder (RPO LL8) Engine

This correction should be performed on all vehicles currently in your inventory that are included in the Administrative Message (U.S.) VIN list prior to sale or delivery.

Condition

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in these vehicles may not have been manufactured in conformance to GM specifications and vehicles may exhibit symptoms such as Malfunction Indicator Light illumination.

Correction

Dealers are to replace the PCM.

Refer to the appropriate service information to replace the vehicle PCM

The replaced PCM should be scrapped at your dealership following the guidelines in the GM Policy and Procedures Manual.
