EGR Tube: Service and Repair

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) PIPE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the intake manifold cover.
2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve pipe bolt (3) and carefully pull the pipe assembly back.
3. Unscrew the EGR valve pipe assembly nut from the exhaust manifold.
4. Remove the EGR pipe (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EGR valve pipe (2) to the exhaust manifold.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

2. Install the EGR pipe bolt (3) to the EGR valve.

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the intake manifold cover.
