Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Service and Repair

ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the insulator panel.
2. Remove the electrical connector position assurance (CPA) clip.




3. Disconnect the accelerator pedal position sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the accelerator mounting bolts (1) from the accelerator bracket.
5. Remove the accelerator assembly (2) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the accelerator assembly (2) to the vehicle.
2. Install the accelerator mounting bolts (1) to the accelerator bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the accelerator pedal nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the accelerator pedal position sensor electrical connector.
4. Confirm that the accelerator sensor CPA clip is fully secured.
5. Install the insulator panel.
6. Verify the operation of the accelerator pedal.
