Generator Replacement





Generator Removal

1. Disconnect negative battery cable at battery.

CAUTION: Failure to observe this step may result in an injury from hot battery lead at generator.

2. Remove two terminal plug and battery leads on back of generator.






3. Loosen adjusting bolt.
4. Remove generator drive belt.
5. Remove thru bolts which retain generator.
6. Remove generator from car.

Install In Car

1. If removed from car, install generator to mounting bracket with bolts, washers and nuts. Do not tighten.
2. Install generator drive belt.
3. Tighten belt to specified belt tension. Refer to: Specifications
4. Tighten bolts.
5. Install generator terminal plug and battery leads to generator.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
