"Change Engine Oil" Message

FAILURE CONDITION(S)
1) Oil life index is less than 3%.

ACTION TAKEN
1) Display "Change Engine Oil" message on the Computer Control Driver Information Center (CCDIC).

DESCRIPTION
The BCM calculates the oil life index based on inputs and data received from the ECM. When the index drops below 3%, the Driver Information Center (DIC) will display "Change Engine Oil." After an oil change, the index may be reset by displaying the oil life index and then pressing and holding the "AVG SPEED" and "RANGE" buttons simultaneously until the oil life index shows 100%.
