SUBJECT: TIRE COMPANY WARRANTY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

This bulletin supersedes DSIB 90-I-16 which should be discarded.

All tire companies that supply tires to GM have developed warranty assistance programs and now offer national toll-free phone numbers for GM dealers in need of tire assistance. These numbers may be used to order tires, for technical information, tire warranty questions, tire dealer locations, etc. Of course, current tire adjustment procedures should continue through local tire outlets as in the past.

Since each tire company program varies slightly in content, it is suggested that Specific details be obtained from the appropriate tire manufacturer whenever assistance is required.

Before calling all pertinent dealer, customer, vehicle, and tire information should be available.
