Section 6E - Engine Controls Revised Step 5 in Chart for Diagnostic Trouble Code E048/P048 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Malfunction

Models:
1991-92 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, Fleetwood, Seville STS
1991-93 Cadillac Eldorado, Fleetwood 60 Special, Seville SLS
1991-95 Cadillac DeVille
1992-93 Cadillac Deville Touring Sedan with 4.9L Engine (VIN B - RPO L26)

This bulletin revises the Diagnostic Trouble Code E048/P048 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Malfunction, Page 4 of 4, Step 5.

Replace the following information in Step 5:

^ Engine Idling, Lift Up on the EGR Valve
^ Engine should become Rough or Stall

With:
^ Select the PCM Override for the EGR Solenoid
^ Press and Hold the Warmer Button
^ Light should go "OFF"
