ENGINE OIL LEAKS THROUGH OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR

MODELS AFFECTED:

1992 DE VILLES, FLEETWOODS FWD), AND SIXTY SPECIALS
1992-1993 DE VILLES, SIXTY SPECIALS, ELDORADOS, AND SEVILLES

Some 1992 DeVilles, Fleetwoods (FWD), Sixty Specials and 1992-1993 DeVilles, Sixty Specials, Eldorados, and Sevilles may experience a condition where the engine oil leaks through the oil pressure switch connector. This condition may be caused by a defective diaphragm inside the oil pressure switch.





To repair this condition replace the oil pressure switch with GM service part number 3522739 that has a date code of 0O12 (Julian day 1, 1992) or higher. Refer to Section 6E-C2 in the appropriate Service Information Manual for replacement procedure. To identify date code refer to Figure 1.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation N2220 at .3 hour for Eldorados and Sevilles or .2 hour for DeVilles, Fleetwoods (FWD), and Sixty Specials.
