Less Digital Cluster
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove cluster bezel, then with shift lever in the Park position, remove the screw securing shift indicator cable to steering column.
3. Remove four screws securing cluster to instrument horizontal support, Fig. 21. On vehicles equipped with speed control sensor, disconnect sensor from cluster before completely removing cluster assembly. This will prevent connector from damaging cluster during removal.
4. Disengage speedometer cable at neck by pulling cluster straight out and depressing retaining spring. To remove cluster, place shift lever in Low range and on models with tilt wheel, place wheel in lowest position.
5. Rotate cluster downward, disconnect printed circuit connector, then remove cluster.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
Digital Cluster
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Loosen outlet grille directional knob Allen key, located at bottom of knob, then remove knob.
3. Remove lower steering column cover attaching screws.
4. Remove lefthand trim panel six attaching screws, then place shift level in Park position.
5. Remove lefthand trim panel from instrument column.
6. With shift lever in Park position, remove steering column shift indicator clip.
7. Remove instrument cluster four attaching screws, then tilt steering wheel downward, remove cluster.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
