Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

TRANSAXLE RANGE SWITCH

Transaxle Range Switch:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner duct and housing.
2. Range control cable at lever on transaxle manual shaft.
3. Range control cable bracket and cable on transaxle.
4. Retaining nut and transaxle manual shaft lever.
5. Electrical connector and hose.
6. Retaining bolts and transaxle range switch.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

ADJUST
1. Transaxle range switch and retaining bolts finger tight.
2. Rotate transaxle manual shaft to "NEUTRAL" (N) range.
3. Rotate range switch so service gage in can be installed.

TIGHTEN
^ Torque transaxle range switch bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb. in.).

4. Remove service gage pin from transaxle range switch.
5. Electrical connector and hose.
6. Transaxle manual shaft lever and retaining nut.

TIGHTEN
^ Torque nut to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

7. Range control cable bracket and cable on transaxle.
8. Range control cable at lever on transaxle manual shaft.
9. Air cleaner duct and housing.
