Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. If DTC P024 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit Problem) is set, the following occurs:
^ SERVICE ENGINE SOON Indicator turns on.
^ Cruise control operation is disabled.
2. If DTC P075 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Interrupt) is set, the SERVICE ENGINE SOON Indicator turns on.
3. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems. (Refer to Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
