Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

IGNITION COILS REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the spark plug wires for corresponding ignition coils at ignition control module assembly.

2. Remove the ignition coil retaining bolts (2 per coil).

3. Remove the coil from the IC module assembly.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the ignition coil to the IC module assembly with the 2 retaining bolts. Tighten the 2 retaining bolts to 3.5 Nm (30 lb in).

2. Install the spark plug wires at the IC module assembly.
