Throttle Body Spacer Removal

Removal Procedure

Notice: Numbers in text correspond to numbered components in image.

1. Relieve fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release.

Air Cleaner Housing:

2. Remove the air intake duct.

Transaxle Vent Hose:

3. Disconnect the transaxle vent hose from the clip.

Throttle Body Service:

4. Remove the throttle body mount bolts from the throttle body (1). Refer to Throttle Body / Service and Repair.

5. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body / Service and Repair.

6. Remove the throttle body spacer bolts.

EGR Pipe Service:

7. Remove the EGR pipe at throttle body spacer.

8. Remove the crankcase ventilation pipe at the throttle body spacer.

9. Remove the throttle body spacer (3) and gasket (2) from the intake manifold (4).

10. Clean the throttle body gasket surfaces.

11. Clean the throttle body spacer gasket surfaces.
