DTC B1328 Battery/Source Voltage High:
Refer to Navigation System Schematics. Electrical Diagrams
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Battery Positive Voltage (B+) is supplied to the Navigation Data Processor at the connector C1, terminal 5, CKT 3240 (ORN). The Navigation Data Processor monitors this voltage to determine if it is within a valid operating range.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING DTC
The Battery Positive Voltage (B+) level rises above 15.5 volts for more than approximately 1 second.
ACTIONS TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
^ Stores a DTC B1328 in the Navigation Data Processor memory.
^ The MSM will not respond to any manual or memory inputs when the voltage is greater than 16 volts
^ No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC.
^ The Navigation Data Processor switch failure and position sensor failure DTCs will not set while DTC B1982 is current.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING DTC
^ The Battery Positive Voltage (B+) level falls below 15 volts for approximately 1 second.
^ Use the On-Boards clearing DTCs feature.
^ Use a scan tool.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
This DTC may set when the vehicle is placed on a battery charger, on fast charge, for a long period of time.
TEST DESCRIPTION
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table:
1. Perform the Navigation Diagnostic System Check before continuing with the diagnosis of this DTC.
2. Checks that a false DTC was not set.
3. Determines whether the malfunction is in the charging system or the Navigation Data Processor.
4. Checking to see if other modules have High Voltage DTCs.
5. Replacing the Navigation Data Processor.
6. Clear all DTCs after the repair procedure is complete.
