Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch Replacement-On Vehicle

Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the screw caps from upper steering column.
3. Remove the screws from upper steering column.





4. Remove the upper steering column cover.





5. Remove the steering wheel tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement-On Vehicle.
6. Remove the rubber protective cover from lock cylinder.
7. Remove the screws from lower steering column cover.
8. Remove the lower steering column cover.





9. Depress the tabs to release turn signal switch from the steering column.





10. Disconnect the turn signal switch electrical connector.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connector to turn signal switch.





2. Install the turn signal switch to steering column making sure locking tabs engage.





3. Install the lower steering column cover.
4. Install the screws to lower steering column cover.
5. Install the rubber protective cover to lock cylinder.





6. Install the steering wheel tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement-On Vehicle.
7. Install the upper steering column cover.
8. Install the screws to upper steering column.
9. Install the screw caps to upper steering column.
10. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
