The LH Outside Auto Day-Night may be inoperative due to the signal circuit of the LH Outside mirror element being shorted to battery positive voltage.

When this condition occurs, the LH outside rearview and inside rearview mirrors will be in a darken state. Both mirrors will be damaged and will need to be replaced
