Inside Rearview Mirror Replacement (Set Screw Mount)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the wire cover.




2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the back of the mirror.
3. Adjust the rearview mirror (1) to the full upward position.
4. Remove the base trim cover.
5. Loosen the set screw (3) at the mirror base.
6. Slide the rearview mirror assembly (1) upward in order to remove the rearview mirror assembly (1) from the mirror button.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the center bottom of the rearview mirror (1) against the windshield at the top of the support button.
2. Slide the base of the rearview mirror (1) onto the button.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Hand tighten the set screw (3).

Tighten the set screw to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in) in order to secure the mirror base to the button.

4. Install the base trim cover.
5. Connect the electrical connector (2).
6. Install the wire cover.
7. Reposition the mirror assembly.
8. Calibrate the mirror compass. Refer to Compass Calibration Description.
