Wheel Hub Bolt Replacement

FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS/HUB

Removal Procedure

^ Tools Required
- J6627-A Wheel Stud Remover





1. Raise vehicle and suitably support. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Front (Without J55) or Brake Rotor Replacement - Front (J55) in Brakes and Traction Control.
4. Using press out the wheel stud.
5. Remove the wheel stud at the inner most notch in the knuckle on the caliper side of the steering knuckle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install new wheel stud.
2. Using washers and a wheel nut, pull the wheel stud in position.
3. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Front (Without J55) or Brake Rotor Replacement - Front (J55) in Brakes and Traction Control.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the wheel and tire.
Tighten the wheel nuts to 125 Nm (80 lb ft).
5. Lower the vehicle.
