Valet Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the instrument panel storage compartment door.
2. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to disengage the Instrument Panel (IP) storage compartment bezel retainers.
3. Partially remove the bezel.




4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
5. Remove the bezel.
6. Disengage the retainers that fasten the rear compartment lid enable switch. Remove the rear compartment lid enable switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear compartment lid enable switch to the instrument panel storage compartment bezel. Push the switch inward in order to fasten the compartment.
2. Connect the rear compartment lid enable switch electrical connector (1).
3. Align the IP storage compartment bezel with the IP storage compartment.
4. Push the bezel inward in order to fasten the compartment.
5. Close the instrument panel storage compartment door.
