Control Assembly Replacement

CONTROL ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate.
2. Remove the console trim plate.
3. Remove the control assembly bracket fasteners.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the control assembly and the radio.




5. Remove the control assembly and the radio.




6. Remove the control assembly retaining nuts.
7. Remove the control assembly from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the control assembly to the bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the control assembly retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the retaining nuts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).




3. Connect the electrical connectors to the control assembly and the radio.
4. Install the control assembly and radio to the vehicle.




5. Install the control assembly bracket fasteners.
6. Install the console trim plate.
7. Install the instrument panel center trim panel.
