Underhood Fuse Block Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Remove the cover (2) from the underhood fuse block.
3. Disconnect the positive battery cables nut (1) from the underhood fuse block.




4. Disconnect the four locking tabs from the underhood fuse block and lift the assembly up from the base.
5. Loosen the three screws retaining the underhood fuse block connectors.




6. Disconnect the engine harness connector from the underhood fuse block.
7. Remove the underhood fuse block from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the underhood fuse block.
2. Position the underhood fuse block to the base.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the three screws retaining the underhood fuse block connectors.

Tighten
Tighten the three screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

4. Install the underhood fuse block by pressing into the four locking tabs.




5. Connect the positive battery cables nut (1) to the underhood fuse block.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

6. Install the cover (2) to the underhood fuse block.
7. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
