Secondary AIR Injection Control Valve Replacement




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the nuts (3) retaining the rear AIR exhaust hose to AIR check valve.
2. Remove the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR check valve.
3. Disconnect the AIR vacuum hoses.
4. Remove the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to the exhaust manifold pipe.
5. Remove the rear AIR check valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear AIR check valve.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service and Precautions.

2. Install the nuts retaining the AIR check valve (4) to the bracket assembly.

Tighten
Tighten the upper AIR pump to cradle bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Reconnect the AIR vacuum hoses.
4. Install the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR check valve bracket.
5. Install the nuts (3) retaining the AIR exhaust hose (2) to the bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the upper AIR pump to cradle bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
