Secondary AIR Injection Control Valve Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the vacuum connections from the AIR check valve.
2. Loosen and lower the pinch clamp holding the AIR exhaust hose to the front AIR check valve.




3. Remove the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to the exhaust manifold pipe.
4. Remove the front AIR check valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front AIR check valve.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service and Precautions.

2. Install the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to the exhaust manifold pipe.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Reconnect the vacuum connections.




4. Install the AIR exhaust hose and pinch clamp.
