Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the oil pressure switch (1).
3. Remove the oil pressure switch (1) from the oil filter adapter (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the oil pressure switch (1) to the oil filter adapter (3).

Tighten
Tighten the oil pressure switch (1) to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the oil pressure switch (1).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Check the oil level.
5. Start the engine and inspect for oil leaks.
