Fuel Level Sensing
The
BCM calculates the fuel level then sends a serial data message to the instrument cluster and the
Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The BCM sends the fuel level information to the instrument cluster each time there is a change of at least
0.5 liters (0.13 gallons). The BCM sends the fuel level information to the PCM each time a change of
1.0 liter (0.26 gallons).
