Lumbar Replacement - Front Seat (AM3)

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer toDisabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the seat back trim. Refer toSeat Back Trim Replacement - Front (Seat Back Trim Replacement - Front) .

Important: Note the location and the position of the power lumbar (1) and heated seat wiring for proper installation location.






3. Disconnect the massaging lumbar (1) and the heated seat electrical connectors (1).




4. Remove the lower retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




5. Remove the upper retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




6. Remove the massaging lumbar assembly from the seat back frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the massaging lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




2. Install the lower retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar (1) to the seat back frame.




3. Install the upper retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar (1) to the seat back frame.
4. Route the massaging lumbar and heated seat electrical connectors (1) through the seat cushion frame.




5. Connect the electrical connectors (1).
6. Install the seat back trim cover. Refer toSeat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front) .
7. Ensure the massaging lumbar operates properly.
8. Enable SIR system. Refer toEnabling the SIR System in SIR.
