Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Manual Tilt, Floor Shift)





1. If necessary, install the steering column closeout trim cover to the upper trim cover.





2. Install the upper trim cover (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install 1 pan head tapping screw (2) to the upper trim cover (1).
^ Tighten the screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).





4. Install the lower trim cover (2) onto the steering column.
5. Attach the steering column closeout trim cover to the lower trim cover.
6. Install the 2 pan head tapping screws (3) to the lower trim cover (2).
^ Tighten the screws to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).

Caution: Refer to SIR inflator module coil caution in Service Precautions.

7. Install the necessary wire harness straps.
8. Install the steering column into the vehicle.
9. Install the steering wheel onto the steering column.
10. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
