Power Steering Pressure Hose ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Remove the power steering gear heat shield.
5. Remove the fascia extension panel.
6. Remove the power steering pressure hose bracket retaining nut (2) at the cylinder head.
7. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the bracket at the frame.
8. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering gear.
9. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering pressure hose to the vehicle.
2. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the bracket at the frame.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear.
^ Tighten the power steering pressure hose to power steering gear to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the power steering pressure hose bracket and retaining nut to the cylinder head.
^ Tighten power steering pressure hose bracket retaining nut (2) to cylinder head to 9 Nm (8 inch lbs.).
5. Install the fascia extension panel.
6. Install the power steering gear heat shield.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
^ Tighten the power steering pressure hose to power steering pump to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
9. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
10. Bleed the power steering system.
