120. Air Conditioning Compressor Installation

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation





Important: Install the generator prior to installing the A/C compressor.

1. Install the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the air conditioning compressor mounting stud.
^ Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting stud to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the air conditioning compressor by sliding on the front mounting stud.
5. Install the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket bolt to the engine block finger tight.





6. Install the air conditioning compressor front mounting bolts and nut finger tight.
7. Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts and nut in the following sequence:
7.1. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front mounting nut to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.2. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front lower mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.3. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front upper mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.4. Tighten the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
