78. Oil Pan Installation

Oil Pan Installation
1. Apply a 2 mm (0.08 inch) bead of silicone sealing compound, GM P/N 1052942 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the oil pan mating surface.
2. Position the oil pan to the engine block.
3. Apply thread adhesive GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the oil pan bolts.







Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Fastener Notice

4. Install the oil pan bolts.
Tighten the oil pan bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
