Front Housing Assemble





1. Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004, (Canadian P/N 10953480), to the reverse block pin retaining bolt (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the reverse block pin retaining bolt (1 through the case and into the reverse block pin (2).
^ Torque the retaining bolt to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)





3. Install the shift shaft support bearing, if removed.

Important: Install a new front mainshaft bearing, if removed.





4. Heat the housing area to 800C (1760F) and press in the bearing.

Important: Install a new snap ring, if removed.





5. Install the snap ring.
