Rear Object Alarm Detection Module Replacement

REAR OBJECT ALARM DETECTION MODULE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right rear compartment side trim.
2. Insert a small bladed screwdriver under the locking tab and unlock the connector.
3. Disconnect the connector from the rear object sensor control module assembly.




4. Remove the mounting nuts retaining the rear object sensor control module assembly to the vehicle.
5. Remove the rear object sensor control module assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear object sensor control module assembly to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the rear object sensor control module assembly mounting nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the rear object sensor control module assembly mounting nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




3. Install the electrical connector. Press in the locking tab.
4. Install the rear compartment side trim.
