Heater Core: Service and Repair

HEATER CORE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.
2. Remove the instrument panel assembly.
4. Remove the heater core cover fasteners (1).




5. Remove the heater core retaining fasteners (1).




6. Remove the heater core retaining straps.
7. Remove the heater core.
8. Remove the heater core case seals.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater core.
2. Install the heater core retaining straps.
3. Install new heater core case seals.




4. Install the heater core retaining fasteners (1).




5. Install the heater core cover fasteners (1).
6. Install the heat shield.
7. Install the instrument panel assembly.
8. Connect the heater hoses to the heater core.
