Hood Bumper Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper (Filler Panel Replacement - Upper) .




2. Remove the front hood bumpers (1) from vehicle.




3. Remove the rear center hood bumper (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear center hood bumper (2) to the vehicle.




2. Install the front hood bumpers (1) to the vehicle.
3. Adjust the front hood bumpers (1) so that the hood is flush with the fenders.
4. After adjustment is performed, sufficient load must remain on the front and rear hood bumpers to eliminate hood flutter. This can be achieved by lowering the hood latch an additional 1/8 inch, for front flutter and raising the rear bumper for rear flutter.
5. Install the upper filler panel to the vehicle. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper (Filler Panel Replacement - Upper) .
