Defroster Door

DEFROSTER DOOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the HVAC module.
2. Remove the recirculation door.
3. Remove the mode actuator.
4. Remove the upper module case screws.




5. Peel back the foam at the heater inlet.




6. Remove the upper case.




7. Remove the actuator cam from the defroster door.
8. Remove the defroster door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the defroster door.




2. Install the actuator cam to the defroster door.




3. Install the upper module case.
4. Install the upper module case screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




5. Apply the foam at the heater inlet.
6. Install the mode actuator.
7. Install the recirculation door.
8. Install the HVAC module.
9. Recalibrate the actuators. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration (IPM) Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration (DIM) Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration (RIM) in Computer/Integrating Systems.
