Mode Door
MODE DOOR REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the HVAC Module.
2. Remove the mode actuator.
3. Remove the recirculation door.
4. Disconnect the air temperature actuator assembly electrical connector (2).
5. Remove the air temperature actuator assembly screws (1).
6. Remove the air temperature actuator assembly (1).
7. Disconnect the left temperature actuator electrical connector.
8. Remove the left temperature actuator screws (1).
9. Remove the left temperature actuator.
10. Remove the upper HVAC case screws.
11. Remove the upper HVAC case.
12. Remove the middle HVAC case screws.
13. Remove the middle HVAC case.
14. Remove the actuator cam from the mode door.
15. Release the tabs to open the middle HVAC module section.
16. Remove the mode door.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the mode door.
2. Install the actuator cam to the mode door.
3. Install the middle HVAC case section.
4. Install the upper HVAC case section.
5. Install the all module case screws.
Tighten the screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the left air temperature actuator.
7. Install the left air temperature actuator screws (1).
Tighten the screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
8. Install the left air temperature actuator electrical connector.
9. Install the air temperature actuator assembly (1) to the HVAC module.
10. Install the air temperature actuator assembly.
11. Install the air temperature actuator assembly screws (1).
Tighten the screws (1) to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
12. Install the mode actuator.
13. Install the recirculation door.
14. Install the HVAC module.
15. Recalibrate the actuators. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration (IPM) Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration (DIM) Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration (RIM) in Computer/Integrating Systems.
