Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector.
2. Loosen the air cleaner intake and MAF/IAT assembly clamps from the throttle body side and air cleaner cover side.
3. Remove the air cleaner intake and MAF/IAT assembly from the vehicle.
4. Separate the Air cleaner intake duct from the MAF/IAT sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Combine the air cleaner intake duct and mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor.
2. Install the air cleaner intake and MAF/IAT assembly on the throttle body and air cleaner cover.
3. Inspect for proper alignment of the air cleaner intake and MAF/IAT assembly and tighten the hose clamps.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the air cleaner intake and MAF/IAT assembly clamps to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

4. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector.
