Rear Door Lock Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door module.
3. Remove the inside door handle.
4. Remove the water deflector.




5. Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) from the door latch by opening the clip (2) on the door latch.




6. Disengage the inside handle rod (2) from the rod guide (3).
7. Push the inside lock rod grommet through the opening.
8. Remove the door latch screws (1).
9. Remove the door latch with the inside door handle rod and lock rod attached.
10. Disconnect the electrical connector.
11. Remove the handle rod and lock rod from the door latch.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the inside door handle rod and lock rod to the door latch.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Install the door latch into the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the door latch screws (1).

Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




5. Connect the outside door handle rod to the door latch.

1. Insert the rod (1) into the clip (2) on the door latch assembly.
2. Close the clip.

6. Inspect for proper operation of the outside door handle.
7. Install the inside handle rod (2) to the rod guide (3).
8. Install the water deflector.
9. Install the inside door handle.
10. Install the door module.
11. Install the door trim panel.
